Holiday Clean Up Led to an Important Reminder This Year

A bit off topic for this blog, but an important, personal story aimed at reminding us about the importance of trusting God’s plan no matter how dark the road may get and learning as much from your challenges as your successes.

Sometimes the more experienced version of myself should take a lesson from the scared and uncertain 23 year old. I found my Xavier University valedictorian highlight article from The Newswire when recently putting away Christmas decorations. Dusty and in a box, it provided a reminder of the importance of trusting God’s plan no matter how dark the road may get and learning as much from your challenges as your successes. Perhaps a few others can take inspiration from this story on one of these gloomy and cold, January days.

Here’s to celebrating the past and looking forward to the future that a new year brings. There’s always hope in the gift of another breath, hour, day, week, month, and a new year. Hopefully, your year has started off well. May the rest of it be filled with health, love, and ultimately, success and happiness, however you define it.
